September 12 ‘ 2008 Jumat

Hari ini mommy mulai ngerasa in kontraski – at least mommy claim itu kontraksi, perut jadi kaku dan mommy susah nafas. kontraksi datengnya 12 menit sekali tapi gga regular, meaning 5 kali trus stop 1 jam dan lanjut lagi, pertanyaannya adalah kata semua orang kontraksi yang asli or labour contraction itu sakit tapi kok ini mommy gga ngerasa sakit yach cuman kaku dan susah nafas. Mulai pagi ampe sore Dada pulang mommy sibuk nyatet kontraksinya, setelah dada pulang dada yang ngelanjutin nyatet. Malem nya mom ama Da deg deg kan gga sabar pengen ketemu adek dan kalau bener tadi kontraksi beneran teorinya yang gga lama lagi mommy ketemu adek paling beberapa hari lagi.

September 13′ 2008 Sabtu

Malem kemaren mommy ama daddy decide untuk cek ke Puri Bunda pagi nya yah chek up sekalian laktasi class, jadi pagi ini habis sarapan buatan Yangti. Mommy, Yangti, Tie Galih ama Daddy ke Puri Bunda buat check apa bener kemaren itu kontraksi, yach sebenere penasaran banget…tapi dikuatin nunggu ampe pagi ini. Jam makan siang kita nyampe Puri Bunda langsung minta check dalam (ih pengalaman pertama kali cek dalam — not nice) proses dari dateng ampe mommy tidur di ruang bersalin cepet banget, midewife yang ngecek juga ramah, setelah mommy ditensi langsung dech cek dalem – hasilnya – - – - – TARAA!!!! sudah bukaan satu cm, jadi yang kemaren bener kontraksi?! tapi kok gga sakit yach?! soalnya kalau kontraksi palsu tidak menghasilkan pembukaan..tapi kok gga sakit yach?! lucunya yangti bilang : yach mungkin kamu kebal jadi gga berasa sakitnya – seneng dong kalau dikasih gga sakit : Gitu dech yangti bilangnya, mommy sich senyam senyum kegirangan saja, setelah tahu bukaau satu, detak jantung adek juga diperiksa, di monitor selama 5 menit, hasilnya semua bagus. Dada mukanya ampe merah tapi berseri seri kegirangan. Keluar dari Puri Bunda (br bukaan 1 jadi mom decide buat pulang dulu) kita langsung ke Pizza Hut buat lunch (sehat yach..?! he) setelah itu baru pulang. Nyampe dirumah Mommy gga berhenti jalan jalan, naik turun tangga, nungging nungging maksudnya biar ngebantu bukaan biar cepet. Malemnya juga deg deg kan lagi, siapa tahu ini malem atau subuh kita harus lari ke Puri Bunda karena mommy mau melahirkan..excited! SEharian ampe menjelang tidur dada gga berhenti nyatet kontraksinya mommy but still tidak ada rasa sakit.

Here are the first few minutes of Sophie Helen Puspita Hynes’s life.

Sophie was born at 11:23 PM, Monday October 6th at Puri Bunda Hospital in Bali, Indonesia.

Weight 3560 grams and 52 cm long.

First image, My husband Sean is cutting the chord. Everyone had told him the chord would be surprisingly difficult to cut so, of course, he tried to hard, you could probably hear the SNIP! from a few miles away.

Then for the first time I meet my little girl outside the tummy!

She must have been surprised because at this point, all she did was wail, howl, weep & cry.

I am on the other hand am tired but delighted.

The last (and biggest) image, shows Me & Sophie Helen just after baby has been whisked away for a little personal hygiene & grooming. Sophie Helen’s not crying any more and I can’t stop beaming with pride. Sophie Helen Puspita Hynes is now about one hour old.

Here she is again later in the morning around 9:00 AM, October 7th being held up to the camera by her grandmother.

I was there in the background totally wiped out and can’t remember who’s taking the photo.

At some point, anyway, we slept.

Here’s Sophie Helen having her first proper bath and getting prettied up for the cameras. Note she’s posing but there’s nothing really on display.

In my opinion, a remarkably precocious display of social awareness and elegance & proof positive that not only is Sophie Helen beautiful, she’s also a genius. Amazing.

Freshly bathed, dressed & accessorized, little baby Sophie Helen takes a few minutes out of her busy schedule to be photographed with fans in this case Auntie Galih and Grandma.

Later that day (just after we meet the doctor) we’re allowed home. Which gives us all the excuse we need to start playing dress-up with our new toy:

So there you have it: the opening hours of Sophie Helen’s life after a gruelling 41 week wait.

We went back to the doctor for monthly check up yesterday, oh yach..I am at my 24 to 25 weeks pregnancy.

So excited, it’s suppose to be the day we found out 100% about baby gender, if we lucky…knowing my baby, love hiding and somersaulting.

It was about 6 pm, when we finally meet the doctor, little chatty chat about what i felt in a month and then get ready for USG.

Talking about USG, this clinic only has 2D USG which is only God know how the doctor translate blurry picture on screen became our little baby..I guess year of year studying make you know little line are baby girl labia…WHAT? yes we had baby girl.

A month ago, the doctor not sure what the baby gender is, 2D USG or 4D ultrasounds has no luck searching. and now……..a girls..baby girl…

Sophie weight now is 730g (just a hair over 1.6 pounds if you’re Imperial, healthy and in the right position.

I am happy either boy or girl but baby girl — make me giggling, imagine we walk together to the mall, salon, talking about boy, reading same book, driving around, discuss about cloths and dinner, slumber party…oh my my…love it!my forever friend, indeed.

They you go Sophie, mum’s and dada are 100% ready for you girl…xxx
