Sophie Helen sekarang sudah 17 bulan, time indeed just flies, rasanya baru kemaren sibuk nyiapin semua keperluan kelahiran Sophie, eh sekarang…sibuk juga sich cuman beda sibuknya…sibuk cari mainan, hehe.
Hidup di Bali, part of it is lovely being close to the beach and relax life rytem, but when we talking about shopping for little one, or even big one, it’s bit annoying.
Put it this way, to gather all the stuff for Sophie birth, I have to shop from about 6 different shop, not include the 3/4 online shop from Jakarta.
Here some list Baby Shop in Bali :
1. NIKITA baby shop, Gatot Subroto
2. Ceria baby shop, Gatot Subroto
3. Clandys, bulu Indah
4. Hello Kitty, Diponegoro Denpasar
5. Balonku, Pertokoan Udayana Denpasar

You can also find some stuff from Carrefour and Hypermart.
For Toys, it’s bit imposibble really, eaither you get normal, not safe stuff or good but tier our pocket, so other way you cant win.
Some stuff I manage to get from Balonku and Toy r Us, but eveyrthing else are online shop from Jakarta. Which even after calculate shipping cost some price still low then buy here, Im not just talking about small easy stuff but branded toys, like Fisher Price, Vtech, Einsten, etc.
For that reason, I feel why not make an online shopping for mom here in Bali, I had the conection with good price and trust able quality for branded or non branded toys.

Should i said Finally? hem…not really but yeach finally, nice decend stuff from mother care which I been hunt since Sophie still in my tummy, now they open branch here in Bali at Discovery shopping Mall.
We went there last weekend, they took 1 shop, which i think enough.
We was wondering half hoping that they will work with some local branded stuff so the price wont be Pounsterling covert Rupiah calculation, but they dont.
All items are imported from UK after they brought from China..hehehe, so price still expensive.
Anyway, they you go, if looking for nice items with good quality and safe guarantee.

Our big homework setelah kelahiran Sophie adalah ngrus tetek bengek legal thing’i, Syukur Sophie udach masuk ke Duo nationality Era (weleh) coba bayangin kalau gga betapa ribet nya (jangan lama lama ngebayangin-nya).
Aniwe buswe, sharing saja proses kita urus keperluan Sophie Paspor & Duo Nationality, semoga bermanfaat untuk yang lain :
Yang pertama harus diurus adalah Passport, in Sophie case kita urus UK passport-nya dulu ikut daddy-nya karena patrilineal thing’s we got here in Indonesia, untuk urus Pasport kita harus siapin :
1. Birth Certificate, biasanya dari hospital langsung urus lebih gampang dan gga ribet buat kita, tapi musti diingetin Hospital-nya biar gga kelamaan, soalnya untuk urus Pasport Anak WNA kita punya 60 hari sebelum akhirnya baby dianggap WNA beneran dan harus bayar mahal.
2. Baby picture ukuran pasport 3 x 4, nach yang ini suka susah kan
Tips Hynes “take foto dirumah, ambil sendiri, trus kerjain sendiri, asal background white clear, baby face are clear should be ok.”

4. Daddy Birth Certificate
5. Mama Passport
6. Mama Birth Certificate
7. Formulir permohonan (bisa ambil langsun di konsulat)
Tips Hynes “Sebaiknya diurus sendiri jangan lewat agent selain kita lebih tenang biaya juga lebih murah (one of agent here Bali asked for 5 million).
Waktu itu Daddy-nya Sophie urus sendiri, langsung datang sendiri (lebih baek appointment dulu), isi form, show all the document and pay (kita dicharge IDR 4.156.000 = Child PPT, Reg.Birth & Passport, Courier Bali-Jkt-Bali).
Proses 14 working days.
Sophie’s done in about a week, Passport ship from Jakarta English Embassy.
Yang Kedua urus dua nationality, yang harus disiapin :
1. Baby passport
2. Baby picture 3x 4
3. Mama & Dada Passport
4. Married Certificate
5. Mama & Dada Birth Certificate
6. Formulir permohonan (diambil langsung dikantor imigrasi)
Yang ini kita juga urus sendiri (agent asked for IDR 3.000.000) kita kena charge dari imigrasi cuman IDR 700.000 something, see how much we save on money…emang sich kita harus meluangkan waktu, ngantri di imigrasi cuman wort it kok, lagian the end of process kita tetep harus ke imigrasi sendiri untuk take picture (baby).
Bukti duo nationality-nya emang agak anech (jangan heran yach) cuman selembar kertas print out biasa yang dipotong kecil dan di attached di Pasport baby.
Tips Hynes : “sebaiknya langsung di laminating biar gga rusak karena kertas kecil yang sangat berharga ini bakal kit apakai 17 tahun.”
Tips Hynes : “waktu diminta ke imigrasi ambil foto baby, sebaiknya datang pagi, biar kita dapet nomor awal, Sophie’s dapet nomor satu, cepet dan langsung bisa pulang baby gga perlu nunggu lama kepanasan di imigrasi.”
Tips Hynes :” jangan lupa cek spelling name di layar komputer pas ambil foto baby, dan spelling yang lain biar afdol dan gga ada kesalahan.”
Gitu dech waktu 14 hari kerja juga, Sophie was done in 10 days.

This trimester absolutely lovely, I know more to came but it is indeed unforgettable moment, sure we will miss it when Sophie grown up. People said this the moment that you missed more and make you decide to have another one after your baby grown up, we will see on this topic. For now, Sophie is everything about us.
My body start picking up, the pelvic remain weak but it’s getting better, we’re more mobile and get use to every tiny details on traveling with baby.
Must do :
Prepare little bag : (diaper, bip/cloth to protect ur cloth or covering your B when you breastfeeding or wipe spit, wet tissue, dry tissue, spare cloth, toys. Make sure it’s light little bag so you can easy put in the pram or daddy bag pack, it’s very easy run around the mall.you will also need spare breast milk or formula in your bag also.
Prepare big bag (we usually left this big bag in the car, it’s emergency back up only) : Contain same stuff as little bag but more in quantity for diaper and cloth, little changing mat, baby oil, warm oil, cotton, toys, carrier, hat, spare horm water in and milk powder, other items you wish to bring but will not certain that your baby will wear or use it.
4′th month : Sophie finally able to suck her thumb and it’s really pleased her, On stomach lift head up 90 degrees, Looking at her own hand and admire it and play with it, laugh out loud.
5′th month : Roll over 1 way, hold head steady when upright, pay attention to an object as small as a raisin, squeal in delight, smile spontaneously, smile back when we smile at her, pick, grasp, throw toys, sit up on her own, razzing ( we all wet), pull up from sitting position to stand with help, not HP when we take her toy or ignoring (just testing) her request. babble a lot…we keep teach her to say mama or dada but what came out still gga, yeahhhhhh, brubbbbbbbbbb, ggggggggggg, kalllllllllll, ndaaaaaaaaaaaaa, heiiiiiiiii, he he he….
6′th month : …..support her on weight own legs,…….( we will update soon )
 Gga berasa Sophie udach hampir 5 bulan, rasanya waktu cepet banget dan ngerasa bersalah gga pernah sempet nulis pangalaman jadi mom disini, ternyata emang waktu mahal banget..heheh diantara ngurusin poo, gendong dan ngurusin kerjaan, akhirnya katakoe gga kesentuh, padahal udach “mendem jero” dengan berbagai cerita indahnya jadi mommy buat Sophie.

First week was amazing mixing feeling happy, tired, excited, oh my my…Never in my mine will be this great and tiring at the same time, and never cross my thinking it will be really demanding, well i was assume it will be difficult but not as it is…hua hua hua hua
Sophie great baby though the fact that she very good drinker is demand all of my time, result can not even shower…Lucky me have such a great hubby, every bit of straggle is solved.
My mom stay in Bali for last couple months till Sophie bout 1 months old, it such big help.
Sophie milestone :
1’st month : mostly sleep and drink, she love sleep on her tum, already give us wink of smile, able to turn around on her tum by her self, we are amaze. finally manage to get of the house and driving at the last week of this period take yangtie and tie Galih shopping for souvenir to back to Solo.
Me?, happy as larry, but bit worry as my mom and sister are plan to go back to Solo.
2′nd month : First week of this period was hard very hard..I am finally on my own, our maid was such a ignorant no help at all. I was exhausted.
Sophie’s great, such big gift as Sophie give me her first big smile then turn out giggling and laughing…all the pain and sore gone.
Last week of this period my mom manage to send helper from Solo, oh my my, thank you so much Yangtie, finally I will able to relax a bit.
Oyach, Sophie already try hard to suck her thumb, babbling vocal more and more aaa uuu aaa ooo uuuuuuuu, looking at her own hand and try play wit it, looking and follow abject around about half circle, very nice, well done little one.
3′th month : I am finally settle down, got somebody help me with baby and food, house maid run as usual (she still ignorant but hell as long as work done I wont give a bable) and I start back 80% with my work. Business are slow like everywhere else the global crisis hit my biz but I turn to see it in good way its opportunity for me to spend more time with Sophie.
Sophie as always charming as anything, this month she perform her new trick rolling down and splashing every bath time, so fun…
Morning is very intimate for 3 of us and it’s important time, Sean give Sophie massage, help me prepare and give bath and we all play together. I am one lucky wife.
We bough Fisher Price toy call rocking play gym: gym toy it’s make a noise and play song when you kick it, it’s sophie Xmas present (well early Xmas present), Sean have good time to together every bit. Next day I am lucky to show Sophie how the toy work, teach her how to kick the animals, Sophie give me “I am listening and learning” expression and minutes later..she did it her self — I am ga ga gu gu — no word — Sophie look pleased, she smile and laugh..at that point my heart melted…ohh my girl.
Sophie star dropping her baby hair, new hair not show up yet..I kind of looking forward to find out what color it will be…Sean insist it will be black,me..don’t know, no clue ah reason i said that, Sophie was born with brown eye color but now it’s change…not yet know what exactly the color..hemmmm
Consunant start came out on bit of her daily chat chat…like wakkkkkkkkkkkkk, mammmmmmmmmmm, bruuuuuuuu…and she put all the finges in her mouth, I guess the teething period start already.
Generally it’s great and amazing 3 months, Sophie got her own things about po po – yes, she manage to “no friend” with popo.
First month she poo every 3 days, we bit panic but find out it’s normal for breast feed baby.
Second month she poo one a week, we panic…again (even all the book said calm down it’s all right, we just can not) — We double check my diet, cut all diary stuffs (hiks chocolate..I will miz you!), chillies, all gassie food and start consume soya milk, eat more vegie and fruitie. No luck yet.
Third month, Sophie still no popo regularly, we give her microlax every last 5 days (if she still not manage to poo), its hard thing coz the microlax stuff does not look relaxing for her, but we though better out then in.
That’s all the story of Sophie first 3 months ( alot more happen of course but that’s the little clip I’m able to manage and share), I enjoy every bit, love my new world, pleased and proud to be Sophie’s mom and bless and gratefull to have Sean as my husband.
